Don’t rely on color alone to gauge ripeness; go by touch instead. A ripe avocado should feel gently soft when pressed. To confirm, remove the stem: if it effortlessly comes off and reveals a green or yellow hue underneath, it’s ready to be enjoyed!

Store unripe avocados at room temperature until they ripen (up to 5 days). To speed up the ripening process, team them up with apples or bananas. Once they’re perfectly ripe, pop them in the fridge for 2-3 days to keep them fresh.
